[toc] Farming Simulator 2022 is the latest edition of the farming simulator series developed and published by Giants Software. It is claimed by many of its fans to be the best one so far and definitely not a reskin of its predecessors.

Despite there being some complications on its steam release due to an M1 Mac incompatibility bug, the issue was publicly acknowledged by Giants, and fixed within a month. Coupled with Farming Simulator’s history of Mac compatibility, this game looks very promising for Mac gamers.

Farming Simulator 22 runs on M1 Macs with Apple Silicon natively!

As you can see below, this game is one of the few AAA games to have a native Apple Silicon version.This means Farming Simulator 22 is as optimized as it can get on M1 machines.

What does “native” mean? Unlike games that require Rosetta 2 (a translation process) to run on Macs with Apple silicon, native games were coded to run on M1 Macs and should offer the best performance.

We usually aim for 30 FPS, because 30 FPS is enough to guarantee a smooth and fluid experience for most casual gamers.

At first glance, the concept of a farming simulator must seem strange. In an era where games help you experience your wildest dreams, from shooting aliens to commanding entire civilizations, a game about farming seems a bit boring.

But what most people tend to find out is that Farming Simulator 2022 is a very enjoyable stress reliever. It is currently being nominated for the “Sit Back and Relax” award on Steam. Despite its simulator title and the number of silly simulator games out there, FS 2022 is a proper high-quality game.

Fortunately for us, it is well supported and compatible with the M1 Mac models.
