How to Play Brawlhalla on Mac
To play Brawlhalla on your MacBook, you need to have Steam installed and the game downloaded already. The process there is the same irrespective of whether you have an M1-based MacBook or an Intel-based machine.
All you need to do is download the game and hit Play. However, we’ve noticed that the Beta version of the game provides slightly better performance on our M2 MacBook, and because of this, we recommend you opt into that version as well.

1 – Once the game is downloaded, head to Properties
2 – After doing so, scroll down over to Betas
3 – Once there, select tech-test in the Beta Participation dropdown
Now, close down the tab and wait for the update to download. Once the update downloads, relaunch the game.

Yes, almost any Mac can run Brawlhalla, including MacBooks. This is because the game is extremely lightweight, and since it is cross-platform (playable on iOS and Android), it can, therefore, run well on most platforms, including older MacBooks.
It does not support 120 Hz monitors but does support the native resolutions out of the box. Currently, there’s no way for you to increase your framerate if you have a MacBook with ProMotion. You are also not able to match the game up to your monitor’s native resolution on the Apple Silicon MacBooks. However, you are able to change your resolution and frame rate if you have an Intel-based MacBook.

The game also offers a variety of modes, such as the single-player tournament, the online ranked, the custom games, and the weekly brawl of the week. Although the game is very easy to pick up, once you start playing it, you’ll understand that it has a deep and complex combat system and is very hard to master. However, Brawlhalla is a game that will keep you entertained and challenged, whether you are a casual or a competitive player.
