Pillars of Eternity 2 for Mac is coming this April
Did you know Pillars of Eternity, one of our favorite RPGs on Mac is getting a sequel?
And did you know said sequel did even better than the original and raised over $4.4 Million (4 times the initial goal)?
Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire is sure making noise and I'm glad the project is coming along nicely. Pillars of Eternity 2 for Mac is confirmed and developer Obsidian just revealed the game's release date: April 3, 2018.
Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire promises to pick right where the original game left off. The game will revisit the rich narrative, beautiful environments, and tactical combat that made the first game one of the highest-rated RPGs of all time.
Developer Obsidian promises :
A vast open world explorable by the player’s own customizable ship, character customization with enough options to make any RPG player want to make a hundred characters, and an exciting narrative that truly delivers on the reactivity that makes our games special.
And given how good the original Pillars of Eternity was, I'm confident they'll release something special.
Pillars of Eternity 2 on Mac: Everything you need to know
These are the game's minimum system requirements:
- OS: OS X 10.6.3 Leopard 64-bit or newer
- Processor: Intel Core i5-540M @ 2.53 GHz
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 6750M or NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M

The first Pillars of Eternity wasn't particularly demanding and I expect this new entry to be equally forgiving. You should be able to enjoy this one even on an older MacBook, but worry not, we'll test it for you as soon as possible.
I honestly can't wait to see how this one turns out.
