There you have it. Mad Max for Mac is finally available. The game was released October 20, 2016.
The announcement comes straight from Feral Interactive, the studio in charge of the port.
Mad Max is an action-adventure game based on the Mad Max films and comes from the creators of the Just Cause series. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland and asks you to seek revenge on a gang of raiders. It also features car combat, exploration, and upgrades.
According to most reviewers, Mad Max is a fun game that takes place in a beautiful wasteland. Many praised the car combat mechanics and good graphics, but some complained about a poor story and repetitive melee combat.
In any case, I consider this a win, as the game comes as a complete surprise. Plus, open-world exploration games are too far in-between on MacOS. Luckily Mafia 3 and Sleeping Dogs have picked up the slack, but we’re still hoping that someday Rockstar will port Grand Theft Auto 5. A man can dream…

The biggest rumors, finally confirmed
This is yet another example that proves the rumors coming out of SteamDB are to be taken seriously. Back in March 2015, SteamDB spotted that someone was actively working on Mac and Linux versions.
And many months later, it is confirmed it was Feral Interactive.
Feral Interactive was also behind another big rumor: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
This leaves us with lots of confirmations and just a handful of rumors. Now let’s hope that Dark Souls will soon become official…
