Zombie shooter Dying Light is now Available for Mac

It’s official: Dying Light is now available on Mac.

The news comes straight from developer Techland, who has confirmed that the Mac version of the zombie-killing game is now available on Steam.

Plus, this is the Enhanced Edition we are talking about. Called Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition, this special edition takes the whole game to the next level. It includes a massive expansion pack, a year’s worth of DLC, improved visuals, major gameplay enhancements, and more.

Also, I’m glad to see Techland went the extra mile and delivered the key features all Mac ports should have. Dying Light fully supports Steam Play and Cross-platform multiplayer. This means Mac players can join the thousands of Windows players across the globe for intense co-op and PVP action.

Users will also be able to play on both Windows or Mac interchangeably, including all current Windows owners of Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition.

Dying Light Mac minimum system requirements:

  • OS: OS X El Capitan 10.12.1
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4870HQ @2.5 GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM DDR3
  • Hard Drive: 40 GB free space
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M370X (2GB VRAM)
  • Additional Notes: Intel integrated graphics cards are not supported

Haven’t heard of Dying Light before?

From Steam’s official page:

Dying Light is a first-person, action survival game set in a vast open world. Roam a city devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help defeat the hordes of flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created. At night, beware the Infected as they grow in strength and even more lethal nocturnal predators leave their nests to feed on their prey.

Dying Light comes from the same team that did Dead Island, another Zombie shooter. Dead Island eventually made it to the Mac, but the port was poorly optimized and the game itself wasn’t that polished. Dying Light is a different story. Since it got the Enhanced Edition, the game runs great, has more features, and critics love it.

And I can’t wait to get my hands on it. You can find Dying Light’s Mac version on Steam.
