Indie superstar, Terraria, continues to make noise and capture the attention of thousands of gamers.
Available on macOS since July 23, 2015, the game continues to receive significant updates. For that reason, it remains a fan-favorite and one of the best adventure games for Mac.
The developer also warned us that both Mac and Linux versions would be initially available in beta form and most likely with a few lingering bugs. Beta or not, it’s great to see Terraria for Mac finally arrive. This game has been on my radar for a long time and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
It’s still unclear how the beta will work, but the developer promises more information tomorrow:
We will be releasing Mac/Linux as open beta tomorrow. Will have more details on this in the morning.

About Terraria
Terraria is an open-ended sandbox game that revolves around exploration, building, and fighting. You will have to dig, build and fight your way to bosses, caves and mysteries. The game uses a graphical style reminiscent of the 16-bit era and feels like Minecraft in 2D.
Both versions are part of version 1.3, which is a huge update that includes graphical changes (with re-imagined sprites and backgrounds), new features and new content.
For more information about Terraria 1.3, you can check the official change log or simply watch the official trailer below:
You can download the game from Steam.
And by the way, Terraria is also available on mobile devices. If you’re looking for a great game to play on the go, Terraria is also considered one of the best offline games for Android.
