Indie superstar, Terraria, continues to make noise and capture the attention of thousands of gamers.
Available on macOS since July 23, 2015, the game continues to receive significant updates. For that reason, it remains a fan-favorite and continues to win accolades, such as being called one of the best offline games for Android.
The developer also warned us that both Mac and Linux versions would be initially available in beta form and most likely with a few lingering bugs. Beta or not, it’s great to see Terraria for Mac finally arrive. This game has been on my radar for a long time and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
It’s still unclear how the beta will work, but the developer promises more information tomorrow:
We will be releasing Mac/Linux as open beta tomorrow. Will have more details on this in the morning.

Into Adventure games? These are our favorites:
Terraria is an open-ended sandbox game that revolves around exploration, building, and fighting. You will have to dig, build and fight your way to bosses, caves and mysteries. The game uses a graphical style reminiscent of the 16-bit era and feels like Minecraft in 2D.
Both versions are part of version 1.3, which is a huge update that includes graphical changes (with re-imagined sprites and backgrounds), new features and new content.

You can download the game from Steam.
