The extremely popular First-Person Shooter Titanfall could eventually make it to the Mac, according to Respawn Entertainment‘s co-founder Vince Zampella.

Developed by the creators of the multi-million dollar franchise Call of Duty, Titanfall is one of the most anticipated games this year.

Offering a Multiplayer-only experience, Titanfall will give players the freedom to switch between extremely agile elite assault soldiers and heavily armored 24-foot tall Titans:

Granted, a mere Tweet doesn’t mean much in the always evolving video-game industry. Still, coming from one of Respawn’s co-founders, the news are encouraging for Mac gamers.

Now that we know the game will never make it to the PlayStation 4, a Titanfall Mac version would be a huge win for the Mac gaming platform.

I don’t know about you, but I have been closely following Titanfall since its E3 reveal. It seems like it could be the game that will finally revolutionize the now stuck FPS genre. With a game coming from the creators of Call of Duty 2 and the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, everything’s possible. The problem is, everybody wants to dethrone the Call of Duty series, yet they all end up making games that look more and more like Call of Duty (I’m looking at you EA DICE). All our hopes now rest on Titanfall and Bungie’s Destiny…

Anyway, lets cross our fingers, as Titanfall would easily claim one of the first spots in our 100 Top Mac Games.

Titanfall is planned to be released on March 11, 2014, with an upcoming beta expected later this month.
