LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is coming to the Mac

I’m willing to bet that 2014 will be Feral Interactive‘s busiest years yet. After releasing Tomb Raider and F1 2013 and announcing Hitman: Absolution and Total War: Shogun 2, they will release LEGO Marvel Super Heroes for the Mac on May 8th.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes is an Action-Adventure game featuring 100 Marvel characters from Spider-Man to Captain America and the Hulk. The game follows the classic Lego formula. It’s packed with tons of character abilities, combat sequences and puzzles, all in a fun and light-hearted environment.

The LEGO video-game franchise is well-represented on the Mac. The latest LEGO to make it to the Mac was Lego Lord of the Rings and we liked very much. Most critics agree that Marvel Super Heroes is an even better game and I’m glad it’s coming to the Mac faster than previous entries.

As a side-note, for the hardcore geeks that like knowing things before everybody else: Lego Marvel Super Heroes was initially picked-up a few weeks ago on Steam’s Database. The crew at  the Inside Mac Game’s forums also managed to solve Feral’s Radar mystery and realize the game was coming to the Mac.

I love the Lego franchise, but I always by them on 3DS because they’re never graphically impressive and tend to cost less on the handheld.

Lego games are definitely not high end (graphically speaking) but I’m sure they look a lot better on PC / Mac than on hanheld right? (Never played on a 3DS….)

        You’d be surprised lol
I’ve played Lego Lord of the Rings on PC and 3DS
Not a huge difference in Gameplay, Functionality, and Graphics.

That is good to know… Luckily I won’t have to buy it to try it 😉

Nice! I think I’ll get Marvel Heroes for 3DS, especially if Dead Pool’s in it!

At this time I’ve only seen it on the Apple Store, but I’d imagine they’ll be updating Steam in the future.

There is no ‘Steam Version’ from what I can tell.

Feral is having some issues pushing out the Steam Version but they promise it will come VERY soon (probably next week). You can still buy it in the Mac App Store but if you truly prefer Steam, I would wait it out.

  • Mac Gamer Ric

Yes it will! Anyway, the best way to check is to go to the Steam page of the game and see if under the same game you have the Windows and Mac icons.
